Mays Al Moosawi (b. 1994, Muscat, Oman) is an Omani visual artist whose work bridges painting, digital media, and installation with a powerful focus on the female figure; drawing deeply from the stories, insecurities, and experiences of the women who shaped her upbringing.

She earned her BA in Illustration and Animation from Coventry University (2017) and completed her MA in Fine Art at the Chelsea College of Art, London, in 2023. Her creative journey expanded through residencies, including An Effort Art in London (2023) and the Leipzig International Art Programme in Germany (2024).

Her debut solo exhibition, You Are Your Own Home, opened at Cromwell Place, London, in 2023. In April 2025, she returned to the Gulf for a deeply personal show in Dubai titled Dear Self, You’ve Witnessed Women at War to be Themselves, hosted in a private residence and presented by Emergeast during Dubai Art Week. The exhibition recreated her studio environment, inviting viewers into her ongoing journey of self-discovery through intimate, mixed-media works informed by her Leipzig residency.

Beyond these exhibitions, Al Moosawi’s work has appeared in group shows across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, including Boundless, Binding in Los Angeles (2024), Archiv Massiv in Germany (2024), and exhibitions in London and Paris in 2023. Her art has been featured in The Cultivist, Juxtapoz, Selections Arts Magazine, and Vogue Arabia, which have highlighted her evolving narrative and emotional depth.

During her stay Mays explored the valley and discovered it’s natural beauty whilst working on a new series of works that explore new spaces and themes for the figures that she depicts.
